Hi Truth Seeker,

I am not quite sure how significant that impact would be. For one thing less than a tenth of the workforce is on minimum wage – and as they are mostly part-time they account for an even smaller proportion of hours. But more importantly the increase in the minimum wage went through on April 1 – which is outside of the March quarter.

Maybe the increase in the minimum wage will blur that a bit. A heck of a lot of people got that 50 cent / hour pay rise….as a heck of a lot of people are now on the minimum wage.
