The Spirit Level is trying to undermine the idea that trade-offs exist – and in this way the book’s evidence is extremely weak.

Of course, the Spirit Level would not accept that Trade-Offs exist in this particular case as its Authors see a Win-Win situation. That is, that society becomes better off if their is greater equality.
