on a global scale. Where previously there was a strong differentiation
between the highly privileged working class of the first world and a sohbet
super-exploited third world proletariat, the twin effects of austerity
in the first world on the one hand and the industrialisation of the
third world on the other is now causing a trend towards convergence of
standards of living for the working class in the first and third worlds.
In other words, we’re beginning to see the end of the first world/third
world distinction.

Cheers, they will be pretty slow coming from now sadly – I am attempting to actually spend a little time thinking for these posts 😛

Without the adjustments for the various known differences like age etc, the static measures do not really give us a very good understanding of why the differences exist – and so what policy interventions, if any, are required. Really enjoying the inequality posts.
